Overall Flow of Work

When you are handed content to input, please follow this process:

1. The first page

• Pick a lengthy or more complex one to start with
• Input the content according to the guidance laid out in this document
• Once you have everything in place and looking solid on desktop resolution, check the page responsively to familiarise yourself with how the responsive styles work across all of the various column layouts and content blocks.
• Consult the handy-dandy “Key Rules Checklist” to ensure what you’ve done checks everything off the list.

2. The next few pages

• Populate 3-5 more pages
• Consult the handy-dandy “Key Rules Checklist” to ensure what you’ve done checks everything off the list.
• Run these past the designer on the project to gather their feedback on how your pages are looking so far
• If the designer has any revisions, they should note them in an internal QA doc and pass them back to you for completion.
• Take care of the revisions, and run them past the designer once more to confirm.

3. The rest of the pages

• At this point you should be on solid footing to carry on populating the rest of the pages
• Once all pages are populated, please run them past the designer to gather feedback.

4. When to ask for help

• If at any point in the above process you feel stuck, or unsure of how a particular piece of content should be laid out, please get in touch with the designer on the project to ask them how they would tackle it.
